Thanks for the chapter. I couldn't help but check and make sure the 500 meter diameter sunlit area wouldn't cause issues with like, extra global warming, when James stated it wasn't hurting anyone :P. Turns out that patch of sunlight would be contributing about 267 megawatts of constant heating, assuming its high noon. This is mitigated by the fact that it's not all "extra" during the day. Hard to say what the right ratio is. Regardless, probably not enough to matter. So James is right. Might cause some interesting local weather though.
