The Daily Grind - Chapter 361

Comments

I love the little narrative detail when James's perspective on Reeds gender changes. Really puts onto perspective how fast James can change his mind about something.

Two reasons. First, because whatever gets emailed is all one attachment, so a package of sixty blue orbs would just spill *everywhere* when pulled out. And second, because while you *could* just email one orb at a time, every one of those emails takes exactly as much magical coffee grounds as is required to run the replicator ritual, and *that* is way more valuable to them.

Chapter thoughts: Wow, what a cute chapter, the ending is adorable :3 Also, you can't keep teasing us with the HVACnids! I wanna see what they're like! Finally...why the heck is the email ritual never used? Why doesn't James email himself 100 blue orbs, various weapons, and a bunch of really niche magic items, that he could then pull out whenever he needs them?

This was a great chapter, I’m so happy we got to see the demi plane! Even if the snowball is mysterious lol. And I’m glad the rewards in triplicate work. I was worried that an emphasis on one pulls the reward from the other sections so you end up with a net neutral result, I’m glad that’s not the case.

"Oh, the absorbed red orb trick to lower Garden spell study time caps at twenty percent.” You know, all this time, I wondered why they didn't just stack a single orb (like +1 month of lifespan) on a person. Now i finally know :)
