If Mal thought heart-shaped waffles were horrendous to delicately pry free, imagine her reaction to Clyde's enthusiastic introduction of snowflake ones. Each one has many fine points that are meant to be symmetrically 'pretty'. She lacks an inherent dislike of this shape's associated holiday, or at least it isn't quite as strong.
Her disdain grows as delivery orders pile up; townsfolk are eager to bring this new taste of the holidays into their homes.

As always, I'm enjoying petty Mal far too much. They have every right to be a hater—even without considering Fernweh being Fernweh—working in customer service. Bethany seems to have terrible luck, first ending up being the person that has to work on a holiday and then ending up choosing the moment where your coworker you're already scared of is stabbing ice to ask to switch shifts. ☠️ Clyde my favorite shipper, thank you for supporting our favorite red flag. 🙏 I'm side-eyeing the writing about how Mal holds their breath because of the burning smell and how they use the word abandoned about purposefully misplacing their hat. 🤨 Time and days are completely meaningless, only endless repetition, yet this repetitive tasks are at least something to hold onto to maybe keep sane. Stop being rude R 💀 I love you but right now it's Mal's turn to be a hater. Only deciding to face the RV after they proved their commitment to wanting to reach out towards Mal. Conflict runs are there for everyone to suffer and finding the little things to hold onto despite everything. 🫠 Every "for now" makes me wonder how long they're willing to wait, and I fear the answer is too long with their whole endure mentality. 😥 Made even worse by the dreading there won't be anything in the end. Pain and suffering that Mal's first thought about what distracted Miri from her was B instead of any other reason. Mal forcing her away from the familiar and her perceived safety is exactly why I love her and Miri together. It catches Miri so off-guard with how swiftly her feelings are developing and deepening that she doesn't even manage to overthink them, yet it's still coming along gradually enough that she doesn't pull back completely in panic. Canon Miri behavior of letting some want slip through and instantly trying to distance herself from it somewhat in trying to rationalize it. Mal prioritizing the RV's happiness over anything else and even letting them go so they won't have to deal with any questioning tonight. 💔 (Still couldn't help themself with the my Snowflake comment.) Aloof RV representation!!! 🩵 (Thinking of the universe where Miri is worse and dumps her merciful stat and instead becomes a full Frosty like she would prefer to be perceived by most people.) Mrs. Dorran's warmth managed to touch Mal! The power she holds. 😌 Many thoughts about how Mal doesn't want to receive gifts, especially without returning something, and the possible causes of this. It could be because it may end up with them owing the other one or because of their server role—a server only receives payment after offering something.
