Content Schedule for January, 2025 [Public]

Hello Returning Visitors!

I hope you're doing well. 💚

As you know, I'm officially back from my hiatus and psyched to share more of Fernweh with you all.

My milestone was effectively crushed while I've also been jotting down content ideas to share with you throughout 2025, which is why it took me a while to decide on what to feature. Our writings this month deal with perception. In 'New Year, New You', we have a Returning Visitor who is attempting to keep someone as seemingly aware and enigmatic as Mal their secret. Surely, this won't backfire in the slightest. 😌 The other writing, 'Through the Grapevine 🍇', leans into Fernweh's small town vibe; it's an Alternate Perspective that sparks humor at just how wrong people's assumptions can be. Tabitha (the nosy officer you might remember from the very end of Book One? She kind of questioned J.) is in it, so… Oof.

'Bloodletting' will be laid to rest this month, or at least it seems that way. 🩸 This dark AU has been a delight to write despite its angst that's going to continue until the bittersweet end. (Except there's likely to be an alternate ending.) To balance that out, Evergreens and Hickories can enjoy art pieces in Mrs. Dorran's art galley after Hickory patrons vote on which two muses to be revealed. Some of you might wish to avert your eyes from the C spicy post though, ahem. Our Author's View focuses on a key location in Book Two that has an intriguing yet grim history that may be overshadowed by the romantic moments you can share with your RO(s) there. Hickories will also get a chance to play a future section of Book Two. 😎

We'll be continuing our exploration of Fernweh at the end of this month! 🌲

Hopefully, this Content Schedule gives you lots to look forward to.

This is a poll for Hickory patrons where they'll get to select the muse(s) revealed in our upcoming art pieces! I've had the opportunity to commission pieces, though a few are still in process or a hopeful, future idea/concept on a GoogleDoc, lol. I'm eager to share!

For this poll, please have a guy and gal RO in mind. I'll always try to balance for equality and fairness. (Imagine that one Ariana GIF: here.) So, James and Ruby works or maybe it'll be a B sweep with Becca and Beckett; that's for you all to decide. Have fun!

Keeping Mal your secret would be so much easier if they'd stop watching you. A New Year's Eve party at the Schades threatens to out your furtive tryst with a server who seems to be everywhere you look, smiling indulgently and never letting your fingers touch when handing you yet another flute of champagne. As midnight draws closer, you aren't sure if you'll remain by B's side like usual or go put a stop to Mal's taunting games.

Rosie can be a fount of knowledge where Ms. Verner is concerned, which is why I encourage readers to try and trigger her encounter and the variations within it, if you're curious! This ramble focuses on a choice option where your Returning Visitor asks something of Rosie that you may have a strong opinion on: Is R similar to Ms. Verner?

(It's an Alternate Perspective with a few twits and turns. Yes, 'twits', not twists because we're going to be in Tabitha's POV for part of it, so brace yourselves. I don't want to summarize it too much because her take on things can be quite a ride. Trent may help.)

The continuation of our lengthy writing set in a dark, vampire alternate universe that still incorporates TFS's base lore. This will be the final installment of R. Verner's main story!

Tragedy and loss have hardened your MC, though the person they were hoping to avenge isn't as lost as they had once believed. Together, you and R intend to execute your plan against the parasitic coven infiltrating Fernweh; however, if it goes smoothly remains to be seen. Even if it does, what about the two of you? Can there be a future—a happy ending—when only one of your hearts still beat? R. Verner isn't one to break a promise.

(This writing will likely have multiple/alternate endings!)
