Because some of their banter gets intense, but it's also interesting to write that friction!
It can create a whiplash effect in me when going between the differing relationship dynamics the MC has with this character. We'll have A being excited and so eager to talk and then them dragging their feet and making snippy remarks. (To be fair, the MC tends to match that energy. 😏) There is one zinger, an absolute menace of a comment, during the Corvin dinner section that I'm keen on you discovering. I'll only tease it by saying A didn't need to go so low, but they're feeling things from having the MC back in their home after this long absence. 📭 (They aren't the only one.) It's a line that I hope makes you as the reader go: ow.
(It also shows what's fueling some of that tension in the negative dynamic: A's care for J.)
I can tease a line a few of you may trigger in this month's upcoming alpha drop:
"I might actually be better off if you shoot the messenger," A darkly observes, pausing with the front tire of their bicycle ready to meet the pavement.

It's hard to intentionally go for a bad relationship with A, but may be interesting for a stoic MC

2024-07-14 19:15:34 +0000 UTCLove a vicious A. Corvin, it’s always super funny playing the ‘good’ route then going to the ‘bad’ one. My favorite dynamic I’ve played so far is the JR poly with a strained or negative relationship with A. I imagine the ‘kill the messenger’ sentiment is gonna be even stronger when that particular MC AND R. Verner show up to their house for dinner. 🤭😈

2024-07-14 16:52:53 +0000 UTCahhhh, Jam and A are slowly getting to a better relationship, not sure if I'll see the most vicious A, but I'm curious. The thought of it makes me feel bad for J too - running interference between their sibling and bestie (just like childhood). 🫶
