Tar Pits [30x40]

Bubbling sounds and oozing smells fill this map set. This tar pit is the final resting place of one unfortunate wyvern (or dragon if you're not a stickler for anatomy specifics). Perhaps there was a treasure hoard long ago at this location before the pit covered it. Or maybe this location is simply a really cool wilderness encounter. If you want to be a fairly evil DM, might I suggest a dracolich or skeletal dragon that's found itself in a situation and needs a helping hand...that surely won't end in disaster for the party....

Map variations for this set include a few different narrative prompts for the skeletal remains along with some basic terrain maps. The terrain ones pair well with The Desert Cave set for extended travel and regional sidequests.

June has been a busy month, but we're not done quite yet. Up next, we'll be returning to the Wailing Crypts to explore the exterior location (village map) and upper floors of the tome.
