The Great Tree [30x40]

Deep in the woods, the bones of a sacred tree make for the site of a druid's enclave. Above the clouds, the branches stretch into new worlds.

This set originally started as a Jack and the Beanstalk meets the World Tree concept. I wanted to create a surreal feeling in some of the variations, to give the notion of this great tree existing across worlds. Of course, I can never pass up the opportunity for painting trees and lush grasses, so we also have the ground level concept of a druidic site.

Overall, the set should serve parties in both the higher and middle level categories. The higher elevation ones, intended for more aerial ready combat via player abilities or airships. In top down perspective, you could even envision both sets being one continuous map with the party able to ascend into the sky bound zone. This set also pairs well with the Dryad's Caress and Plague Lands map sets to create a larger questline. Perhaps a journey to restore a land after blight or to collect wisdom from ancient nature spirits? Either way, I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did painting it!
