Haunted Swamp (36x48)

Deep in the swamp stand the ruins of an old village, taken over by waters. The land around them is as dead as the people that once lived here.
Since the Fall of Parretoa many civilizations have risen and fallen. In the absence of centralized rulership many places became abandoned and left to decay. Small villages and homesteads have stood empty for many centuries and are now only occupied by the ghosts who once lived in them. The crumbled stones are accompanied by a silent whisper that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
Fog gathers in these places and seems to linger around the foundations of the old buildings, as if drawn to them by some strange force. At night these houses are illuminated by a soft blue glow and whimsical flowing lights. Scholars believe it's magical force bundled together in closed off places, while clerics will tell you it's the trapped spirits of unfaithful people from long ago.
