Technical Post - Ship Designing with Adi!
Added 2020-06-08 22:52:57 +0000 UTCHi everyone! It's Adi!!! Today I'm gonna show off the process of designing the ship that everyone travels in Summer at the Edge of the Universe!
I got a couple refs from minute and I kind of just Went For It!!! It was really difficult to think more mechanically - I'm usually an anime girl artist so...! I wanted to share my struggles, haha. I'm pretty happy with where I ended up with though!
I used it in the logo!

Thank you!!! I had a lot of fun drawing and colouring it! I don't actually read a lot of sci-fi in general (with the exception of Macross) so I'm glad it holds up!! - adi

Maybe it's because it looks more utilitarian rather than flashy - though it still has some style. I think it's a nice change of pace from the many sharp, pointy styles that are popular/common (and can also poke an eye out with lol).
