Monthly Update - September 2019

Heya,

Welcome to September's monthly update, AKA the one where we finally have a clear direction again! It's been a bumpy few months since Heart of the Woods came out, and we've been bouncing between a couple projects trying to find one that works. We're happy to say that we have, and are getting back into the swing of things.

Our main project right now is one that we're referring to as Samayuuni. That's the shortened version of the title, which we can't reveal yet. Not until we have more to show with it. But, we just sent the character design write-ups to the artist, and will be getting started on background art too. Plus, as you might have heard last month, music production is well under way too. We're also going to be including at least partial English voice acting from the beginning, so please look forward to that as well 👀

We've also been getting ready for the Heart of the Woods Voice Acting Kickstarter (that's a lot of capitalized words at once) launching towards the end of this month. We're aiming for somewhere between September 20th and October 4th, though we don't have a particular date settled on yet. We'll have some new merch like an exclusive keychain set and shirt designed by some guest artists, as well as a few other items. We're also hoping to sell physical copies of the game for Switch and PC, although due to production costs we'll have to make that a stretch goal, and not available from the onset.

Voice actors for HotW have all been settled on and notified, and we actually have already begun recording for the game. We're expecting to finish that up by the end of next month, or in November at the latest. We'll be announcing the cast in a couple weeks! We honestly couldn't be happier with our chosen cast, and I'm sure you'll see (well, hear) what we mean.

Like always, we have a couple other projects going on in the background too, including a joint project with some friends. I know I say it a lot but… more on that soon.
