The original broadway bridge of this song where Christina makes her vocal entrance is soooooo operatic, it's difficult to replicate in any context other than orchestral, not to mention the length of the drawn out meandering, haunting vocal melody really kills the momentum of a metal cover.
I ended up cutting that bridge in half and using a clean guitar sampler to create the same haunting vibe, but as a brief change of pace from the chugging guitars rather than a several minute interlude.
