Been working on the "roster", which I decided to name "yearbook" to keep with the college/school theme.
I'm planning on making it pretty sophisticated and dynamic. It's going to give you little popups like the above when you learn about a new character or gain some new information.
My thought process is, you don't want to know about everyone in the game at the very beginning. That could lead to spoilers. So the yearbook should grow each time you meet someone new. Also, I'm going to add a list of actions that these characters has performed. So, if you complete the foot fetish scene, it'll say, "X's toes were sucked by Y," on their yearbook page. If you skip that scene or haven't gotten to it, it won't say that.
Oh, and there will also be background information of the characters like, what they did to get into Saint Mary's in the first place. Stuff you may not be able to learn any other way.
I just hope this is useful and not annoying. I also hope it's not wayyy overkill. I'm hoping it'll add a little reward for continuing to play.
It'll probably take me 1-2 days to get the technical aspects working perfectly (I just noticed it doesn't show up if you make the screen too small). Then, I can start making sure all the details get added to the year book from every scene.
