2018-09-07 12:22:55 +0000 UTCOh yes, my Weller mod loved to do that too! But I think since smoke is coming out of the exhaust, it must have passed through the filter and diaphragm pumps already, which can't be good

2018-09-07 11:21:38 +0000 UTCHaven't had enough time to test it yet, but it seems reasonable. My old Weller mod which was much more expensive didn't perform as nicely. But I might get to try something from Ersa soon, which would be a good reference for comparisons

2018-09-07 11:17:01 +0000 UTCI have the hakko 808 desoldering gun. You might just have to replace the ceramic filter pads more with all the flux. I’ve had more problems clogging the top than anything else.
