Added 2018-08-03 14:41:57 +0000 UTCStill something wrong tho, there seems to be a huge dc bias voltage in the higher frequency ranges while the 30 MHz cal signal (which I've verified before) doesn't get through.
But we've come so far with this thing, there's probably not much more missing!

Correct, distance to fault, length of cable, impedance, everything a cable guy would ever wanna know about a length of cable. And I absolutely agree.. I'd much rather troubleshoot equipment problems then calling said cable company to get services corrected. haha
