Behind The Scene - ver 0.7

Sorry for the long delay in this update, and thanks to your support, the v0.7 update was finally out. The “Behind The Scene” post is to cover the feedback form and anything that is out of the scope of a normal size game. Please complete the update before reading this.

Feedback-wise, I don't have a lot of experience dealing with the carrying event, so ensuring it doesn't induce any bugs was my primary focus. I think this format is new among any existing size games, and I do believe there's potential, like a lot of you mentioned, to add more events and interaction points. "Weirdly quiet" is how I would describe this part of gameplay: a lack of BGM in the jar, the booming heartbeat in her bra, and her occasional dialogue you yarned for. "A few 10 minutes" was able to bring you to your kneel, what about "a few hours every day"? It won't take long for you to realise what you really want - to be taken out by her, to be paid more attention to by her, or even, to be used by her. As such, her objective is reached.

About other comments, I will try to add more plays and scenes you mentioned in the feedback form. There's no plan to add more characters in the game right now, as the story until the end is largely finalised, but if you comment on what kind of character you like, I will add it to my note and maybe use it in a new game. I am actively reading the form when planning the next update so please comment on the things you want to see! The following are some random thoughts during this update to add more context to the long delay - just skip them all if you don't want to read them, and I will see you in Behind The Scene v0.8!

One reason for the delay is that I questioned myself. I questioned my ability when I couldn’t deliver the update on time. I don’t have anyone else to blame, my actions and my decisions are the only real reasons behind this delay. A few years ago, I joined the size community and started my Twitter account out of pure escapism (see tweet). I escaped from pressure, escaped from expectations, escaped from different opinions. I knew escaping wouldn't do any good to me, but I felt like I didn't have the power or the courage to change anything. I lied to myself – once I have done this, once I have done that, I will have the power and courage to change everything. I probably was wrong. The real change has to start with myself, and nobody other than myself can give me the power and courage I need. I am weak, I will question myself over and over again, but I don't want to lose myself and escape anymore.

Another reason might be writing Maid B is a bit anti-intuitive. She is generally playful, but there’s something more behind her playfulness I wanted to craft. I felt I didn’t understand her at the beginning of working on this update, but the more I refine her dialogues, the more I stand on her point of view, and the more I understand her. And of course, I introduced a new character, Wisteria, in this update. By design, she is a supporting character to a supporting character, but she wasn’t outshined by Maid B. This is the first time I have written closely about two characters (ignoring the tiny hero and other tinies) simultaneously, so I was a bit overwhelmed by the logic and interactions between them, considering there are two distinctive phases. If you played this update “correctly”, you might not notice there are two phases when the second half comes out in v0.8. Anyway, with some extra time to think through the whole case, I am glad that this update is pretty close to what I want to express, and it lays a good foundation to unveil the theme in the next update.
