BEHIND THE SCENES!

Hi everyone!

How are you guys doing? How’s your life going and do you have any nice plans for this summer? 😌

It has been a long time since my last post here and I haven’t been active on IG for a while. We all need some separation from the digital world now and then and I needed it desperately these last couple of months!

Over here, all is good! What I’ve been doing? I’ve been extremely busy with the new ⛺️ house that they’re building, the new pilot platform we’re about to launch, traveling to Bali, reading/studying a ton of books and of course ✈️ flying a lot these days.

These photos above were taken during the last couple of weeks. It seems as if the entire world is flying again so the rosters are pretty tough in my opinion. As you might have picked up in the news, many airports and companies all around the world struggle finding the right people which results in huge delays. Salaries are low and workloads high, which is why there are no people that want to do these jobs on the ground. Normally there are a bunch of people on the apron making sure the aircraft is ready for departure. Loading luggages, refueling the airplane, cleaning, checking the plane from the outside, dealing with passengers (how many are on board and where they are seated) and many other tasks. Due to the lack of staff, it happens that 20 flights need to depart at the same time, and being handled by only 2 persons in total! Take into account the daily strikes and.... the clown show is complete. Aviation always has its ups and downs and I feel like a lot needs to change in order to get the entire aviation industry back on its feet.

Have you ever been to Indonesia? I absolutely love the nature, the people and relaxed atmosphere! I will share some photos of my holiday with you in the next couple of weeks..

I’ll create an IG post about everything soon! 😌

Love to hear from you!

Have a great day! :)

Michelle

Great seeing you again Michelle and hearing about your travels and, of course. your new house. I've just watched your approach into Santorini - perfect as usual. In all my travels, I have yet to stay in Greece and yet Santorini is the most appealing. I'm not big on Greek food and tend to travel to Stockholm, the birthplace of my late wife, and how could one not love Paris and Italy, My daughter and husband are staying in Sicily and then join up with several couples joining a cruise on a trawler through the Adriatic. I'm taking some of my family to Honolulu next month for a week and have booked business class for all as the Aussie airlines haven't got their act together. As a result of our State's worst protracted lockdown, many experienced airline personnel have left and it will take time to rebuild the airline structures. 😍

Glad to see you back. :-) Since I have been traveling a lot (Philippines, Bulgaria, Spain and in Medellin now) I can certainly agree that traveling in Europe (from the other side of the cockpit door) certainly seems to have problems. But I think we'll get through it. I do wish companies would think about better compensation for their employees in general and across the board ... but a rant against rabid capitalism is for another time :-) ... Love the photos. Tell us more about the house?

Welcome back, Michelle. Great photos. I've only been to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but I hope to see Europe next summer.

Hi Michelle. Really glad to see you back on line. I hope that you are suitably rested from the internet. I have never been to Singapore but one of my friends goes just about every year and he absolutely loves it. I’m intrigued to know more about the house you are building. Is this for you? Is it in Amsterdam? I am also interested to know about this new platform. I think you need to spend a day bringing us all up to date with what is going on in your life. Keep on flying and keep safe. Alan

Yes, sometimes it is necessary to take some time off from social media. Congrats on the new house! And no, I have not been to Indonesia (yet). It looks awesome from the pics I’ve seen! Glad to see you back here!
