girlies if you need a screen time blocker Opal changed my life. from 8 hours a day now down to 3ish. also setting a shortcut for making my screen monochrome by pressing the button 3 times, makes my phone boring and helps me put it down. but I dont remember how I did that lol you’ll have to google it

When setting up the day (Sat, Sun) portion of the command you have to customs format the date so it’s just the day of week not extended format. Then you just apply the shortcut to when you open individual apps

On the subject of chocolate chip cookies: bon appétit had “BAs best chocolate chip cookie” that I saved many moons ago and always go back to. The secret is brown. the. butter. And I swear it’s incredible. Before I bake I put a sprinkle of maldon salt on top and it really is *chefs kiss* ALSO - pre portion out all the cookie dough, and then FREEZE the cookie dough balls. The best part of a chocolate chip cookie is when it’s fresh from the oven. I keep my pre portioned cookie dough balls in a ziploc bag in the freezer, and then just pop one or two in the oven at a time whenever I’m feeling cookie vibes. LOVE YALL!

Reporting my so far successful screen time reduction method… I have been loving the app screenzen. SPECIFICALLY the WORDLE setting. I have it set where I have to solve a “word puzzle” to unlock 15 mins of time on my naughty apps (tumblr, instagram, tiktok). It also has a streak function, every time you open a naughty app it shows you your streak of how long you’ve abided by your own rules without cheating. The inconvenience of the wordle has eradicated my compulsive checking habit. I started on 2 September and my average screen time has gone from 7-9 hours to 3-5 hours.

You can also make a 'lifeline' with some extra yarn and run it through the rows below what you are working on so if you do make a mistake you don't have to completely restart, just unravel back to the lifeline and the stitches will be kept in place and easily picked back up with needles! Learning this was a game changer for my knitting:)
