Interlude Letters and Arrangements

The young demoness blushed as she recalled how Ria got them, but she couldn’t exactly protest, she really enjoyed it. Even if Ria saw her mainly as a source of potion ingredients. Honestly, she was loving her time here, Ria fed her well, the town was a fun place, and she was getting more sex than she knew what to do with.
Ria looked up from the potion she was making, “Ixil? Is there something I can help you with? Need more sex?”
She giggled, and pulled her panties down spreading her pussy lips, “Well, I can’t say no to that, I’m feeling just a little frisky.” Then she turned more serious. “But you do have a letter,” she said, letting her panties snap back into place while producing the letter in question.
Ria took it, and then blinked twice before slumping.
“Something wrong?”
“It’s from that damn dragon,” replied Ria as she was reading it.
“Oh? I see, um, what did she say?”
Ria didn’t reply right away but her mood started to improve, “Arlie passed!”
“That’s good?”
Ria nodded, “I knew she could do it, but it’s nice to see. I’ll let the folks in Ukova know she is heading their way.”
“She is?”
“Blue temple is out that way, and we have family in the area. They’ll want to know she is coming. Especially since it would be a rather big deal if she showed up in the capital, or well anywhere in that region.”
Ixil frowned, “It would? I know she is a Contrey, but it can’t be that big of a deal.”
“You’d be surprised,” said Ria. Then she blinked, “Ah crap I completely forgot to tell her.”
“Tell her what?”
“Who her mother was,” said Ria as she rushed out of the room.
Ixil hurried after her, to find her writing letters at her desk.
“Could you, um, enlighten me on what’s going on here? What’s this about her mother?”
Ria sighed, “Well, like you she’s a princess. Arlie’s mother was the previous Queen, which puts her in the line of succession. Right now King Grey has two children with equal claim to the throne, that makes Arlie third in line for the Throne.”
“She’s a princess!? Seriously?
“There had been some debate on which princess she should be, but since she was born a month after Princess Emila she was given the title of Second Princess.”
“What’s she doing out here then?”
“Tradition, she’s a child of the Contrey line, and by tradition, we raise all our daughters in Voros. Be they of the royal line or not. Besides, you should understand that being a princess yourself.”
Ixil smiled, “Oh? You knew?”
“You told me you were the daughter of Lord Xel’Merix. The Xel’s are the current royal family in the Demonic Queendom of Merix. I’m not a fool, and you don’t get to be over a hundred without learning a few things.”
“You don’t look it,” she replied. Then she had an idea, pulling her top off to reveal her breasts, she said, “Now why don’t we have some fun and explore what it means to be young and wise?”
Ria giggled, “Sure, just let me get these letters out first and lose the panties.”
Ixil grinned and pulled them off. Tonight was going to be another fun night!
It didn’t take Ria too long to prepare her letters. Once she had the right letters worked up, and the updates the Royal family would want, she put them in a magical mailbox that could send small light objects like letters great distances in an instant. By the time she reached the bedroom with Ixil those letters would be in the Capital waiting for Queen Grey or one of her servants to collect them. She’d likely have a reply in an hour, then she’d have to make a reply to Aurora to set up the details. If Arlie was going to the Blue Temple, she’d almost certainly be heading to the capital, it was the closest port to that ancient temple.
Ria knew full well that even a casual visit there would be a bigger deal than Arlie knew and now she wished she’d told Arlie more about her lineage. Of course, it hadn’t been a big deal until recently. By tradition Voros was kept clean of the trappings of royalty. For their line those traditions had always been important.
Silently to herself, she made a vow that next time she saw Arlie she would tell her everything she hadn’t told her. There was so much about being Bykura Kinsara and a royal that Arlie just wasn’t aware of. Ria had thought she’d have years more to prepare but reality had proved her wrong. Hopefully that dragon would be able to help, but she didn’t want to rely on Aurora for something like that.
Pushing all those thoughts aside, she stripped out of her clothes and joined Ixil on the bed. A bit of fun to distract her from the larger concerns, at least for a little bit.
