Cranadock

Another settlement... this time small, cosy, underground and full of crypts and tombs... 

Cranadock was originally drawn for David Holland early last year for his Skeletons of Myrandor book... I have had a bit of fun changing it up for you guys, it has a new name and all the village buildings are new. As Myrandor, it was 100% a crypt city for the living dead.  As Cranadock, it is half and half. Left side for the living, right side for the dead (mostly). 

 There are also water & Lava flood versions for Navigators & Explorers - a set of 5 stages where the liquid is flowing out of the top right cavern and taking over the right hand side of the map (it can't get through the wall gates fortunately). Also, every variation has 2 versions, one with the high dais set with thrones and one with just one large alter ... or crypt if you need an undead boss to have a chat with...

There are 4 ways in and out, and they are all difficult in one way or another.
1 - Through 'The Maze', down the grate and into the deep tunnels
4 - A climbable not quite vertical shaft
12 - You need wings for this one
10 - main entrance to the surface - but there are boulders blocking the way....

I hope this little cavern village will inspire a few interesting ideas ...
one that comes to mind, is that the 'living', are people who are here as a sort of long retreat before death - monks maybe. Or maybe there is a lot going on in the deep tunnels and this is where the workers live... or maybe it is a school for necromancers ...
