Character Concept: Five Styles of Wushu Kung-Fu
Added 2022-08-05 05:59:34 +0000 UTCHere's something I've been tinkering with for months, and now, I've finally got them all sketched out. Combining my enjoyment of martial arts characters with the fact that my world has human-animal hybrid characters (known as fera at the moment), I went ahead and sketched out designs for a band of five characters based on the different styles of Wushu Kung-Fu.
Staring from the top-left and going row-by-row, we start with the tiger lady, Tora Laohu, based on tiger style. Next to her is Ryu Long, based on dragon style. And then on the right is Shebi, based on snake style. Out of everyone, Shebi was the hardest to come up with a design for, so I ultimately decided to give him a snake tail with no legs.
And on the bottom row, we have He Niao, who is based on crane style. And finally, we have Houzu, based on monkey style. (I swear, I can't help but imagine Goku's voice coming out of his mouth.)
And yes, I'm aware that a lot of their names use Japanese words instead of Chinese words. But this is still a work in progress, so things may change later down the line. Anyways, hope you enjoy it.
