I've been practicing watercolors this week, along with experimenting with acrylic inks. The second picture was colored entirely with Process Yellow, Process Cyan, and Process Magenta (with some grey and black to contrast). This practice in particular was trying to get as much as I can out of penciling only, and it is extremely difficult for me. I really struggled. I can get a lot out of watercolor when I've inked the image first, but with pencil or a light sketch underneath... really tough! On the first image "Vortex" I also used some fluorescent pink acrylic for the details on the disc.
The final image, "Jewel Flame" was based off a strange dream I had.

It's a glimpse into your process that I appreciate, as I'm also trying to improve at traditional techniques. I love the way you dapple your colors in the background. You choose sky values and hues that totally surprise me sometimes, but in a great way. I also had a question: is Foxling from Temple a Goma?
