Manifestations of Ink

This image began from the thought of pierced pages bleeding armies of ink, and other fantasies, and as it grew out of that became a collision of symbols and ephemera.
I like the thought of the ideas contained within books sitting in some kind of psychic/magic layer just beneath/within the paper, and that this layer can be permeated in some way. Especially mass produced books. What sort of things would they create if the ink of a myriad of discarded books were brought together like this?
