Speedpaint: Horse Power

Not having the greatest week, but I at least managed to finish an artpiece for a friend's birthday gift. I've been trying to put a more personal touch to the gifts I give so what I'm doin' is painting a small painting to make into cards, then wrapping whatever I gift in blank paper before I draw directly on that wrapping paper to personalize it to the person. This year's theme is favorite animal + favorite color, and I incorporate that in however ways I can throughout the gift: the bag, the card, the wrapping. This is only the second one I'm workin' on, but I really like the process so far.

In other thoughts, I realize how much I really like doing these silly lil paintings; I may start doing more similar to this, with a pseudo anthro animal doin' something a person would. Kinda like the "dogs playing poker" painting.
