THANK YOU + FUTURE CONTENT

Just wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Lux Cache for the launch. Thanks to your overwhelming support we’ve been able to expand our team and queue up even more content for the future. In the next following weeks we will be releasing our first tutorial and written article posts, available to all patrons. This is a great opportunity to comment under this post any topics you want us to touch on regarding music production and sound design, as well as any guest artists and contributors we should try to get involved. The more abstract and experimental, the better!

Thanks again for sharing our enthusiasm and showing support!

advanced bass sound design

Some approaches to arrangement. Building an arrangement but also strategies for using the sounds created in an efficient way.

Mixing low end ♥︎

I love the way you broke that down

OH and mastering. You guys kill it on mastering every time. Would love info on that from y'all.

Heavily interested at the moment in advanced techniques for "Pitched Percussion". There's a method I adopted using Melodyne version 3 that utilizes a "copy/paste special pitches" function. I do a lot of my drum sample work in there to get ideas for matching the pitch of my drum hits to whatever melody I'm working with. For good measure I'll also mention I'd like to learn your mindset on song structure/arrangement, "decorating the beat" as I believe I've heard Babii or gloo say once before, anything Serum to contextualize sounds to be rubbery, tinny, stretched such as Sophie does and lastly I'll add 808/bass work (how to really play with them on layering and sliding). I just suck at 808s.

Would love to hear about y'all's approach to harmony and chord structure

I'd love to know more about 808 layering techniques. The 808s that everyone from Gloo uses are always so textured and unique, diving into those techniques would be amazing. As a follow-up, I'd love to learn more about how to properly mix my kick + 808, always seems to be a bit tricky and I'd be stoked to see how you guys do it. Also, vocal processing on stuff like (Run It) would be so dope to learn too. I love how those vocals sound, Thanks!

It would be awesome to be able to make any kick sit in a mix. Or at least know what I should be doing with a kick frequency wise

Would love to learn more about how distortion can be used in an interesting way. The different impacts different distorted instruments can have e.g. bass, kick drum, guitar, etc.
