OMG ok thanks for the clarification. Its so cool that the show is finally answering so many questions I had in the beginning like why the crystal gems were the only non-corrupted Gems on earth! I really loved hearing Garnets retelling of the events!

now i just wanted to point out in the episode your mother and mine, when all 3 diamonds blasted the earth with all of their combined powers, they didn’t destroy the earth. they in actuality they corrupted all the gems. all gems were corrupt excluding amethyst because she hadn’t emerged yet & bismuth was still in a bubble and lapis was on earth or in that mirror maybe. however rose was protecting garnet & pearl as seen in the episode with her amazing shield that steven now has…also love your reactions and respect your opinions and everyone’s theories☺️ p.s. this episode was garnet briefly explaining to the off colors that rose really rose up ans became the leader of the crystal gems!!! and the first time you seen all 4 diamonds in unison NO SPOILERS :)

It's totally understandable that y'all are thrown off by your mother and mine - there's some jumpy pacing this final season (which doesn't affect the quality thankfully, just time moves a little faster). I don't remember if I mentioned this in the past or not, but season 5 was given an ultimatum by Cartoon Network. It didn't have to be the final season, but Rebecca Sugar refused to do what they asked and as a result they told her season 5 would be the final season and whatever story is left needs to be wrapped up. I can't say what they asked Rebecca to cut because it's a spoiler, but keeping it in was absolutely the right call and when it pops up I'll spill some more juicy details.
