taking a break from big animations and moving forward

heya! hope your sunday is going swell.

So I've been doing some thinking on my art, what i actually want to do. I've realized i'm burnt out on the bigger animations, and i have been for some time. I want to take a break from them in place of comics! this doesnt mean i'll never do big animations again, and i'm still wanting to do big projects, its just that right now i'm inspired to do comics.
i may still do smaller animation loops here and there though.

So! i'm currently experimenting with some ideas for mini-comics (about 4-5 panels each), 2 of which ive posted, the 3rd one will be alot bigger (21 panels), and im really enjoying the process!
I'd like to just test the waters before i potentially jump into lengthier comics, i'd like to make self contained short comics but with consistent themes, like being rommates with Biscut or Ras (or both) for example, and honestly i think Biscut and Ras so sorely need fleshing out, i really want them to have character other than just having big butts, you know? (though they will always have big butts because i mean hey), and maybe even make new OCs, which has also been a tempting idea.
I want to create little scenes and have them in funny little situations and have them react in more interesting ways! i do feel genuinely motivated to go down this path right now!

I won't lie though, after having been doing animations for so long, it is terrifying to switch to comics for now. but i genuinely am having a lot of fun making comics right now, i think its worth trying.

so basically:

• taking a break from the big animations (for now)
  

• going to focus on comics as my big projects
  

• still doing small animations here and there
  
  

  I will post an updated Patreon schedule in my bio as soon as i can with this slightly new setup. but for now this is roughly what the typical monthly schedule might look like:

• week 1-2: comic upload

• week 3-4: 2 drawings/small animations (or a second comic post)

keep in mind this is my goal, this schedule may fluctuate, but i will always do my best to deliver what i can.

and again, some months i may still do the big animations, but it needs to feel right i think.

I'm also adding a restrictive sample of the second comic page i've made so far without giving away too much, hopefully you get the gist of it. but that's sorta where im working from right now, i wanna keep improving as much as i can in making comics!
