Added 2024-11-24 03:00:01 +0000 UTCStill refining the retro animation style, gonna look back at some older shows like TMNT, X-men and other shows that used blacks in their shadows as well as some other 90s / 2000s animations to see if I can hone in on what I want. But I think this is defiantly hitting the mark so the research will mostly just be simplifying the process, which is why I've made a limited color palette for me to use for flat swatches. I may also give the lineless animation style / samurai jack inspired stuff another go for more modern looking stuff but i've kinda been digging the "comic" like style as the black shadows gives everything a kinda darker / spooky vibe to it.
