Q&A - Get to know me a little

Q: Don't you ever take pictures of men? You don't find them as exiting, sexy and beutiful maybe 😄

A: Yes, I do! But my paid subscribers here isn't so interested in them. But you can find more photos of men on my website: www.linncalysvold.com

Q: Do you feel and look at yourself as a sexy woman? (I really do🔥 some girls are pretty, and some are cute. You just have a sexy vibe that comes right out of the screen🥵)

A: Aw, this is a very nice compliment! Thank you! I do, but not all the time. But when I style my hair, or I have a tan and my face is glowing,I feel sexy. I feel good naked, and also dressed in cute summer outfit. I've heard from men and women, that I'm very feminine. The way I move and talk, and people find it very attractive I understand. I'm happy to hear you can feel my energy through the screen 🩷 ✨

Q: Will you ever do full nude ?

A: I do already, maybe more for super fans. But I also like to mix it up with self-portraits with a little something on or over me. If all my self-portraits where all nude only, they would look quite similar to each other.

Q: Do you think you could name your favorite photo/shoot location/model you’ve worked with?

A: One of my favorite photos is the one of Emily taken from above in Bali, with all the little holes in the stone. But it wasn’t my favorite shoot, it only lasted about 5–10 minutes and was very specific. We had to work quickly because the beach was crowded with people, and the drone battery was running low.

I actually prefer longer shoots, especially when the photos turn out even better than I expected; when the location surprises me, or everything just falls into place. I also love those sessions where the chemistry between me and the model is amazing. I’ve had many of those and can’t really point to just one. My recent shoot in Tuscany is a perfect example. I’ll start posting photos from that shoot in December. I can’t wait to show you!

Q: Hello, how are you ? I sincerely hope to discover some magnificent new sets soon AND I'm now dreaming of a series of photos of Linnca posing WITH Sasha : no, I'm not crazy ! ^_^

A: Hi! I'm good, I just wish the weather was better, it's raining like crazy right now! Haha, I love your idea! I will never say never, but I don't think this will happen. But we will for sure work together again, me behind the lens and she in front of it!

Q: What's the last book you read and really loved?

A: It begins with you with Jillian Turecki. Beautiful book!

Q: What do you love most about yourself?

A: Hmm, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on who I am and why. I always try to stay true to myself. Freedom is the most important thing to me, so I try to make choices in life that will keep me happy. So, my connection to myself, can I choose that as my answer?

Q: What do you do when you're not busy holding a camera?

A: Being a photo artist and running my own business is about much more than just holding a camera. It involves a lot of planning, emailing, editing, researching, dealing with rejection, starting over, advertising, and at times frustration.

I work almost every day, sometimes just for an hour, and other times for weeks at a time when I’m traveling and doing everything at once.

But I assume you meant what I do outside of my work. I go to the gym four times a week. I also have a small side job that I do a few times a month, to have some extra income when my art business is slower. I play the piano from time to time, I’ve been playing since I was nine, but I don’t practice as much as should. And of course, I spend time with my boyfriend, family, and friends.

Q: What's it like living in Norway?

A: It’s peaceful here, quite safe. I prefer to live close to a city, but not in one that’s too big or too small. Bergen, where I live, is the perfect size. It’s the second-largest city in Norway, yet it still feels small and cozy.

The downside of living here is definitely the weather. It doesn’t get very cold, but it rains a lot, and it’s often cloudy and grey. But when the sun comes out, I absolutely love it here.

The weather can affect my mood quite a bit. From November to February, it’s especially dark, and during those months I often feel less creative, happy, and energetic. That’s why I try to travel during winter. In two weeks, I’m heading to Spain for a couple of weeks. It’ll do me good.

Q: Why do you only shoot nude self portraits without your face on it? No judgment, just curious. You're obviously a beautiful woman so why not shoot it all?

A: Thank you! I do take some mirror selfies for my superfans from time to time, with part of my face showing. But most of my self-portraits usually focus either on my body or just my face. There are many reasons for this, actually.

First of all, I like to photograph myself differently than I photograph my models, closer, more focused on the body than the face. I want to bring something unique to my self-portraits. Secondly, this approach has become my signature style. It belongs to me. So when you see my self-portraits, you immediately know it’s mine, even though I always write “Self-portrait” underneath.

Thirdly, it feels safer this way. A lot of content from models on my Patreon has been spread to porn sites, which is very disheartening. My work isn’t porn, but even in 2025, the female nude body is still often exploited and misunderstood. So I want to protect myself. I’m not a model doing this full-time. I’m a photo artist, and I value my freedom.

Finally, it’s simply easier to take my self-portraits this way. I don’t have to worry about my facial expression; I can just focus on my body. Sometimes I shoot first thing in the morning, when I’ve just woken up, and I don’t want to stress about my tired face or messy hair. When I’m creating my self-portraits, I also use my phone as a monitor to check how the light and shadows fall, making sure everything looks just the way I want it to. So I'm in front of the lens and behind it at the same time.
