What REALLY Happened in Japan's WORST Place ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Patreon Exclusive Video

Hey guys,

So in case you missed it, this week we released an episode where Sharla and I visited Japan's worst-rated place, the prefecture of Ibaraki.

In this Patreon Behind the Scenes with extensive outtakes and commentary, I reveal how not everything went according to plan when I got fined by the Police during the shoot!

But it was a fun trip to an under-appreciated place and I'm glad we were able to go!

I'm currently gearing up for the Wacky Weekend Cycle around Kyushu which kicks off on the 18th of March. I'll post with more details the day before, but it'll be live on Connor's Twitch around 9:00am Japan time.

Until then, hope you're having a great week - enjoy the video!

Chris

You could have your own seasonal Koyo and Sakura to enjoy. An apartment with a private balcony or shared rooftop or ground-level garden

What a great place! If the great salesmanship at 0:26 had not had me sold already, the Hobbit sauna and the drum tub would have sealed the deal! Even though the latter looked disquietingly like something organized crime might use in a bad movie to dispose of "evidence"! ๐Ÿ˜ณ But now in all seriousness: This place might be a wonderful refuge in winter snow!๐Ÿ˜Š

You tripping over your words in the sauna is entertainment gold.

Hi Chris, you asked for new studio ideas and Iโ€™m reflecting on Sharlaโ€™s initial reaction to the move and the loss of being close to nature. Could either the new studio or your future home have a small manageable garden element? Gives an option for outdoor filming. Maybe a cat tunnel and enclosure to keep young Tuna distracted. I imagine it may not be so practical or affordable in Tokyo. A lot can be achieved even on a balcony. Could be worth investing in a landscape designer/horticulturist for advice. A little bit of nature for all of you ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ

I hope Connors not being replaced ๐Ÿ˜… ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah I'd never thought about it that way either!

After getting the fine, you will have to sit through the 2 hour lecture to renew the licence! I just did that lecture today, it's brutal when you don't understand enough Japanese.

Have you ever heard of Ibaraki Dash? Watch out for that in addition to sneaky police when driving in Ibaraki ๐Ÿ˜

Loving your latest programmes (it feels wrong to describe them as simply videos!) A brilliant mix of humour/fun and interesting documentary, with the trademark Abroad in Japan voiceovers, making them better than any programmes on traditional TV. Please keep up the great work!

The cabin was so cool - a great alternative to staying in a hotel or camping! ๐Ÿ˜… I also love that the grill was indoors lol seems like a fire hazard. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I loved this behind the scenes video! A part in the main video that stood out to me was the kayak guide explaining about what people miss out on if they don't go kayaking. So simple but so true! ๐Ÿ˜Š
