Not a video I'd ever hoped to make.
Today former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo was shot dead while campaigning in Nara.
It's been a real shock for the nation and there's still a lot of questions, but I wanted to at least give a summary of the days event and hear thoughts from Ryotaro, who's actually met Abe on several occasions.
While he was a polarising figure, no politician deserves to end their life or career this way and I've found it sad watching events unfold today, with the man who's ruled Japan almost the entire time I've lived here, having their life cut short at 67 years old.
Frustratingly the video got age restricted shortly after it went up, effectively killing the video on the platform. But there was no way I could tell this story without showing footage of the incident (even though I made every effort to conceal anything graphic).

In slightly more positive news guys, I'll be doing a live stream tomorrow night on the Chris Abroad channel. I'll post it here with more details tomorrow and I hope to see you then!
