I think you do a great job of not “rubbing our faces” in the luxury videos. You’re a lot more relatable and kinda represent the Everyman that gets to try those experiences and show us audience what it’s like. Connor ferreting all of the amenities was funny and helped lighten it up. It’s your choice if you want to discontinue doing videos such as this, but I think as long as you never adopt an entitled attitude about it it’s fine

I think you and Connor work so hard all the time - that for me it is not in any way or form a negative feeling when you treat yourself to some luxuries. You, Connor, Joey, Garnt and all have multiple youtube channels, Twitch, Patreon, podcasts, etc....please do not feel guilty. I was so happy to see you guys smile for the entire video both on youtube and behind the scenes - that feeling of pure joy is wonderful and something we as viewers all need. Please do it again, life is too short not to.

I think you did an excellent job videoing these luxurious locations. I don’t think you’re “rubbing it in peoples faces”, I think it’s kind of cool to see into the world of the very very rich and see someone appreciate it.

It's fun watching you guys (suffer) with the bad hotel reviews/haunted places explorations, but its also really nice watching you guys go to luxury-ish places too, personally look forward to seeing a mix of both in the future!

I don't know why you think you are rubbing it in people's faces, you have worked your arse off for the last 9-10years making great content, and being able to create content in places like this hotel is part of the reward.

I actually really like the expensive stuff. It's stuff I would never usually ever be able to see, except through videos. And I think you experiencing it, and giving your impressions makes for really entertaining content.

I think the balance of these videos is key. It’s cool to see expensive places and that experience - I also don’t think you’re rubbing it in anyones face so to speak. You work hard and should be able to take on these gigs without feeling guilty. Good work per usual!

I think the balance is good. You are far too grounded to ever come off as rubbing it in. (other than fried chicken consumption) Some of these experiences are great because how would the majority ever see or experience it in person? I’m not in a position to spend 12k for a hotel stay, but it’s fun to see. I love wacky weekends you and Conor are hilarious together. Looking forward to your 2022 adventures.

It's nice seeing these luxury videos once in a while but not to often. To be honest, I'm sure that most of your viewers that want to go to japan will be staying in more normal hotels. I like to see those and the riokans because when I'll go to japan (it was supposed to be in 2021), I'll spend 1 night in a riokan.

I enjoy watching videos like these very much! As other comments have mentioned, it doesn't feel like it's rubbing it in. As is the tone of your channel, these videos are commentary and an expose, which we appreciate seeing from your point of view as enjoyers of your channel. If anything, I'm sure many share my opinion of enjoying these videos, and thinking they're a well earned prestigious opportunity granted to you because of the great job that you do showing off Japan to the world.

I enjoyed the most expensive hotel video. I didn't feel like you were rubbing our faces in the luxury. It's not like you're the Kardashians (or their ilk). I thought it was a refreshing break from the horrible rooms of Wacky Weekend (which is great don't change it). I would never stay in that hotel room but I may just stay at that hotel for one night in a much cheaper room. Would have like to seen the other hotel amenities. Maybe next time you do a luxury video bring an extra person to film so you get to enjoy some of it.

My suggestion would be that for this kind of videos you ask for 2 nights overnight stay, two train rides Gran Class etc. The first one you use to fully experience the service or product yourself. It also gives you the chance to plan your video and come up with ideas. And the second time around you film the video, accompanied by your victim of choice. Anyway, I like these videos so I wouldn't mind if you make some more.

Seems like a wonderful place and the videos were just awesome. I don´t mind seeing places like this, especially if they can offer you something very special. The view in this is just unique. I would like to see videos of similar places all around japan.

I've been the Andaz Tokyo 3x.. it's a very nice hotel! The Park Hyatt in Kyoto isn't as high but it's even nicer!

I actually enjoy these types of videos! I mean, yeah if every video was fancy five star hotels or something it'd be really boring, but it's sorta rare and honestly it's something I'll never get to see myself, so being able to see a fun video about it is neat! Also, you deserve the treat of the luxury lol.

I can't think of any suggestions, but I don't mind these videos at all! It's a nice balance to add to the wacky weekend series. Can't wait to see what you all bring in the new year!

I think videos like this are okay sometimes, to break up the regular content. As long as it doesn't take over the channel. I think most people mainly watch your videos to see things they could potentially do themselves.

I really love seeing you two do the Wacky Weekend videos together. While these 2 videos were good; I prefer seeing you in places like the worst hotel in Japan...the way you two go off of each other with your witty banter and equally charming & funny British senses of humor works better with places like that. So please do more places like the worst love hotels, regular hotels, and general places to go in Japan. As for suggestions...maybe find a really low rated restaurant somewhere in Japan and see if the food is really as bad as they say it is.

I'm sad to hear that you don't get to enjoy the cool places you go to, as much as your guests do. But what I can say is, that you do a great job of making it seem like you're having a great time and it makes the viewer feel like they are there with you, enjoying themselves. Also I definitely don't feel like the luxury content is rubbing it in our faces. First of all, it's a lot of fun to see a glimpse of a something a peasant like me would never otherwise get to see. Second of all, you and your guests are so down to earth and your reactions are in a way, how myself and many others would probably react, which again makes it feel like the viewer is a part of exploring the place right along with you. Also... I can kinda relate to Connor wanting to grab a much free stuff as possible XD So I personally LOVE the luxury content because it's something I would never "experience" otherwise. And I would love to see more. With joey as well. But I don't think you should do it if it makes you uncomfortable or stressed..

As stated you do not come off as rubbing luxury in our faces, more awkward and unsure. That’s what makes it entertaining. Bring a camera person please Chris, you do other times. And in Tokyo good heavens you knew several good ones you could have had show up to film, go home for the night and even come back next day to finish up allowing you to partake as well. Wasn’t it Norm that got his license to skipper a boat? Let’s have him take us on a ride, perhaps southern area and maybe some snorkeling in Okinawa? How bout you and Connor also get jet ski permits and zip around all the beautiful little tiny islands and places down south? Make sure to wear sun shirts so you guys don’t get burnt to a crisp. I’d love to see more amazing or unusual things outdoors. That bridge could have been a whole video. Make Connor climb that cliff face Where you almost died. You will need to film and not climb of course. Let’s learn about floating tori gates maybe? Let’s see some festivals, there are so many. My son stumbled into a few he’d never heard of on his trip and loved it. Also maybe add a cheeky patreon only peen festival segment video you know just to fund wacky weekends or your movie or promote the patreon or something. 😉

I honestly love these kind of videos. It's nice to see nice things, and from someone so humble and doing everything they can not to throw it in our faces, it's honestly avoid "LOOK AT MY NICE THINGS" kind of content a lot of the time, but I never got that impression here. It always feel more entertaining and informative than show-offy..

To echo the sentiments of most of the people here, I enjoy these types of videos. It's a glimpse into a different lifestyle that I wouldn't necessarily be able to easily see otherwise, and with you as the host it definitely still keeps things down to earth.

It's a give and a take. Do a dodgy bridge, then do a luxury hotel or dinner. I don't think it's rubbing it in when it is a "reward" or an occasional thing.

I always see these videos as a sort of "peek into an experience or part of life you might not otherwise get to experience." I'm certainly never shelling out 12k for a single night in a room xD but it's interesting and fun to see the two of you get to enjoy it, and we enjoy it vicariously through you, since you're more like 'us' than the usual sort of person who would actually stay there would be. As evidenced by stuff like Connor nabbing the amenities, lol xD I do understand the perspective of feeling like the video is rubbing things in, but it's not really. It's not like you actually live in that most expensive apartment or always stay at this most expensive hotel room when you travel. You're a considerate, normal guy living some pretty neat experiences and sharing those experiences with us. ...I dunno, sorry for rambling so much xD

More luxury please. It’s not rubbing in people face, it’s aspiration. But that may be the American way of thinking vs the British. I find that Americans tends to see it as a goal, or seeing a range of possibility. Wealth is not a four letter words for us! Soooo more please.

I know har it’s not your typical style of content, but I do think a video in Nikko where you and Connor go hiking and enjoy the onsen town would be awesome. There’s a couple of outdoor onsens.

Completely agree with fellow patreons. Really enjoy the luxury reviews with your modest, down to earth and comical approach. This may be a controversial opinion but I much prefer this type of video to the abandonded places / worst hotel type of videos. You are amazing at creating videos and really showing the best in life. It's really something special when you pick wonderful things instead. Doesn't have to be expensive/pretentious, some of your best videos are in nature or traditional onsens and inns etc. It gives us all an opportunity to "travel" to all of these lovely places with you where we may normally not be able to go ourselves. Either way, love the content and effort and I think ultimately you should do what you enjoy most. :)

Watching that video there was only one question in my mind; that high how would an earthquake be felt? My bet is that Connor wouldn't be the only thing dancing ^^; On another hand; is your address something reserved for a small few? Or is there somewhere hidden in discord? I'm asking because I'm waiting since jan of last year for it and so far no luck... Somebody can help?

I also wanna add that I loved the luxury review quite a lot. Especially in its pairing with the soba challenge it had some kind of story progression quality to it. I get the thought that it might come off as douchy but for me it felt more informative and gave me visuals to dream about. I'd rather experience luxury hotel reviews through you guys, it feels grounded, fun and inspirational. Don't know how else I can put it into words. Also, I liked the variety. I'm always excited to see where you guys go next.

Loved this. Honestly, I enjoy these sorts of videos too - we’ve all seen videos of expensive UK and American hotels so it’s nice to see how that compares in Japan. The fact you clearly don’t take it for granted comes across really well. It’s a good comparison to the hotel from hell and gives a bit of variety. Plus that view……great content as always.

I would love to see more luxury reviews as it's fun to see and some of them are ideas that I could splurge for when I finally get to japan probably not the hotel but would like to do one luxury thing to treat myself. Also I wonder if Conner's place is just full of stuff from the hotel did you check if the pillows, towels, sheets, etc were still all there?

I appreciate the attention to detail with all your videos. I understand your concern about not wanting to come off snobbish or entitled, but I think all your work is tastefully done. It feels more educational versus "oh look at what I got to do!". You've worked hard and deserve the success alongside any opportunities that present themselves. I wouldn't mind seeing more like this. You present it in a way that doesn't trigger my FOMO but rather sparks curiosity. Plus it helps us see past the smoke and mirrors when it comes to that lifestyle. So you asked if we enjoy watching two Dheads (trying to say this politely )just having a good time. The answer is yes. These videos are great. And I gotta say it doesn’t really matter if you are torturing each or just having a good time. I always tell my best friends “I only tease you out of love”. It’s really fun to see people who enjoy each other’s company but are also comfortable enough to call them on their bs. All the best to you both!

I can't speak for everyone, but I like watching 2 dickheads awkwardly enjoying a moment of luxury and rubbing it in the viewers' faces. Lol. Seriously though, while these sorts of videos are out of the norm, they are still fun. It also helps to remind people that not everything in Japan is something traditional or quirky. Sometimes you just have a modern 5 star hotel room that could feel like it is anywhere.

Please do go to expensive places, rub it in my face! I will likely never get to see these places, so this is my only opportunity. That view was amazing, especially at night. I really do enjoy them particularly juxtaposed against abandoned places for instance. Variety is after all, the spice of life. I realise they are not great fun for you but it's much appreciated, thank you. 🙏💜
