(*New Video*) Exposing What's On My Bookshelf | Room Tour

Hey guys - hope you all had a cracking weekend!
(Not sure if the word 'cracking' is used in that way in North America?!)

So I tend not to normally post new video releases here on Patreon (so you don't get bombarded with notifications outside of exclusive releases). However, as the new channel Abroad Perspective is still flying under the radar, I thought I'd let you know there's a new video on there!

This week, I went back to my roots by sitting down in a room and filming a video that didn't require a drone. It's simply me exposing all the weird crap on my bookshelf; from Putin calendars and fan art, to language learning books and creepy Japanese children's characters. Hopefully, along the way you'll find at least one book that piques your interest. Don't judge my bizarre array of books too harshly.

We also had a new video with Ryotaro at Tsukiji market this week in case you missed it, and later this week him and I have another adventure coming out involving illegal sake (yay!).

Today's video was conceived and filmed on Saturday, and edited & released within 24 hours.
With that in mind, I'm really excited about the Abroad Perspective channel and feeling less restricted to make more videos about anything I want and posting more regularly without the pressure to always get big views. I'm not sure why I didn't do this bloody sooner to be honest!

Enjoy the new episodes folks - I'll catch up with you in a Patreon vlog in the next few days!
Chris

You know, Chris, these off-the-cuff videos on Abroad Perspective have been great. And you even seemed like you were having a lot more fun making the Tsukiji video than in other recent videos. Reviving the Abroad Perspective channel seems to be doing you a lot of good! I'm looking forward to seeing what you put up there next.

I love the movie, even if it is thoroughly depressing haha.

I really enjoyed the bookshelf tour. I was surprised to see I had some of your books on my shelf. I want to suggest "My First Movie: Twenty Celebrated Directors Talk about Their First Film". I think some of the stories are interesting histories about some great movies and inspirational stories of famous directors to just do what you love.

Love how the Perspective channel's picking up. Keep it up Chris! Just don't let this channel tire you as much as your main one. You just might end up putting up another. 🤣

I was already on Amazon looking for a few of these by the end of the video, so... great advertising! I'm particularly interested in the Tsunami and the Japanese Mind.

What happened to your moustache?

So glad to see a more personal side to you. I felt cozy, as if I were sitting there drinking a cuppa tea, and you were chatting away pulling down books after I asked what you like to read. I think this is a great genre for you because you are so natural and sardonically funny. Thanks!

Knew it was gonna be a great video the moment Putin appeared.

I cannot actually comment directly on your bookshelf, due to Apple’s most recent software upgrade. My favorite book on your shelf is Animal Farm, and, based on that, I recommend A Clockwork Orange. I will say I’ll be disappointed if you haven’t already read it!😉

Thanks Chris, I actually laughed really hard at your philosophy skit.

Broadtopia sounds like the place to visit! Loved it, Chris, heartwarming video.

I voted NO to this and I'm watching it now. Pls don't call the police.

First!
