26 Traits Japanese Girls Want: Outtakes & Bloopers | Patreon Vlog

Hey guys,
I hope you've all had a great week so far!

I've just arrived safely back in Japan, ready to get stuck into a busy few weeks of filming and editing. September is promising to be a blockbuster month and I feel rejuvenated and ready to throw myself into the madness.

Actually that's a lie. I feel jet-lagged to fuck and I look like I've spent 24 hours in a tumble dryer.

With that in mind, this week, I thought instead of doing the usual Patreon vlog, I'd put together some of the amusing deleted scenes and bloopers from the recent video "26 Traits Japanese Girls Want in a Guy."

If you haven't already seen my ego crumble and fade into nothing, check out the video first:

Unfortunately, I had to remove quite a few scenes to bring the video down in length. From personal experience, I find once you make a video over 17 minutes, viewers are far more reluctant to watch the video and likely to bail on it early. Youtube then downgrades the video in its algorithm, it doesn't get viewed, and finally you end up throwing your laptop out a window.

One scene that got the chop (which you'll find in the Patreon Vlog), is the original opening where Chiaki and I talked about Youtube - and where she destroyed my ego twice. We took it out though as we were keen to jump into the list from the get-go (given it went on and on).

We've also got a new Podcast episode out this week, where I finally reveal the REAL reason I moved to Japan (and ultimately, why my masterplan backfired).

The next video on my hit list is the Epilogue to Journey Across Japan which will be out later next week. I'm still scripting it and thinking about all the stuff to cram into it. There's also the challenge of  working out how to make it entertaining for the 55,000 new subscribers we've had this month, who won't have a bloody clue what Journey Across Japan is;
"I got on a bicycle for 2 months and it accidentally ended up looking like an 8 month odyssey".

To be honest, the entire epilogue video will just be me standing on a scale crying quietly, as the camera slowly pans away for 12 minutes.

To be honest if that's not entertainment, I don't know what is.

Chris

She’s watched that pen more than your channel 🤣🤣🤣

Even better than the full video, your humour comes out better. Btw I found the camera being off to the side so much a little disconcerting, when you looked directly at it you were very much looking away from Chiaki and it felt a bit weird. - then again what do I know.

lol a lot of unintended innuendo

I used to be too but this year I've just decided to bail out of uni to get into my projects full-time. No they don't give me a living wage. I don't care. I'd rather eat cheap rice, boiled carrots and discount eggs every day of my life than put up with that shit any longer. Hope you're doing uni for the right reasons. If not, hope you'll find the courage to ditch the beaten path!

Times like this make me wish I didnt have shit to deal with in uni. I am salty that you have this life!

I think it’s because deep down, I can’t even conceive what a bucket of knives would look like and I have no idea where the idea came from!

それはペンです。

Hahaha! I absolutely love the fact that the thought of Chiaki falling down some stairs into a bucket of knives made you laugh so much. I'd like to think it's not because of the absurdity of that specific scenario but more because the though of her getting hurt amuses you 🤣

Jette Nielsen

There’s a name for the cooking channel you never knew you wanted: “Meaty Dish in a Pan” Actually, wasn’t there a channel called “Abroad in a Pan”? 🤔 Also, laughing at the prospect of poor Chiaki falling down the stairs... shame on you lol!

Laura Beaumont

You don't have to entertain the new subscribers Chris. Just show a few cool moments from the journey and they'll be binge watching the journey and be genuinly interested in the conclusion video.

That playing with my cat not with me was so damn hilarious!!

Choong Chin Wei

It honestly sounds like a dog food commercial.

The only question remains, what would the soundtrack be?

Abroad in Japan

I too would move to another country if I was constantly assaulted by reminders of the existence of football.

You two would make an adorable couple for about three minutes before you inevitably began stabbing each other to death over pen ownership. Thankfully you'd have a smooth rebound via internet dating with the handle Meaty Dish Chris.

if you really posted the video of you crying on the scale and slowly panning out I would feel bad but still be laughing.

Queen_Wolfie

I'd watch that!

Chris Hunter

"My name is Chris... Meaty Dish Chris"

Dykam

At least a session in a tumble dryer would make you one of those "refresh men" Chiaki mentioned. 🙃 Welcome home!
