Well that didn’t take long.
My third attempt flying the drone and I crashed it into a tree at 35mph.
It fell 100ft to the ground, landing in a pile of foliage.
Between myself and several friends, it took 15 minutes to locate it - and amusingly whilst we were scouring the forest for it, I still had a live feed from the drone camera, which we were able to ultimately use to locate it.
AND when we did finally find it, we were shocked to find that despite the speed it was travelling and the fall it endured, the drone was perfectly intact. 10 mins later, it was airborne again and I made this video for you guys, with the subsequent footage (testing the drone out with a few friends).

Also notice how it even managed to smash through the first tree successfully, before the next one brought it down!
(The locations are Yunohama, Yamagata and Yudonosan, Yamagata).

THANK YOU to you all for the kind words on the latest Pachinko video! In terms of production quality, it's one of our best yet (mainly thanks to the splendid 1950's museum we filmed in which made it look like we travelled back in time).
It's already been watched by 600,000 people, thanks to the miracle of Youtube trending.
And just because I’m sure there are those of you sceptical of Natsuki’s victory, (spoilers) Natsuki genuinely did win that amount and double his balls. I was as surprised as anyone. We should have had him play for 12 hours straight, and then ran away with a fortune in sake.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed it though; for those missed it, you can watch it here!

ALSO in this week's Podcast, Pete and I discuss Japan's somewhat bizarre and questionable culture around renting friends, that has emerged in recent years.
We also discuss the topic head on, as well as compare J-Pop to K-Pop music, and give money saving tips to travellers!
(KPOP FOREVER. Although I don't like either of them particularly).

It's been a busy week filming with Ryotaro and Natsuki (albeit not together). Natsuki has a cameo in the next upcoming video, and Ryotaro and I climbed a mountain and nearly drowned in a waterfall along the way, for the video out after that.
Today, I also finished planning out the route for the cycle, which got me feeling both simultaneously excited and anxious.
Admittedly, it finally dawned on me - it is quite a long bloody way to cycle.
(And some of the places we'll be visiting haven't even been discovered by civilisation by the looks of things).
I've decided that, if I'm to stand any chance of succeeding, I may need to get a personal trainer in the next few weeks (which, let's face it, would be hilarious viewing).
- And preferably a personal trainer, who is neither Natsuki nor Ryotaro.
I do have someone in mind who would make a fine trainer and addition to the Abroad in Japan family of characters - so watch the space this August.
Next up we have a video of me starting (and struggling) to get fit, whilst talking about motivational strategies (I'm thinking of boldly calling the video "How to do Anything").
I've been wanting to make a self-help style video for a while now, and I hope through sharing some of my experiences, they may be helpful to viewers who are a little bit lost in life. (Although, I think it'll be a tough video to pull off, as I may have to be serious for once).
After all, one of the best things about being a Youtuber, is getting to share stories and personal experiences, in the hope that they'll help people out there, even in just some small way.
(The other best thing is having an excuse to make amusing videos with grown adults, like Natsuki and Ryotaro).
Thanks guys - enjoy watching the drone crash and feel free to fire away with your comments and questions below on anything discussed in this post.
For now, wishing you all a smashing Friday.
Chris
P.S. Is it time we stopped using the Inception sound effect in the videos? (You know, that BWAAAH noise, whenever something dramatic happens). It's become a staple of the channel, used in every video - but is it annoying? Has it out stayed its welcome?
Let's see what the general consensus is and take action!
