ABROAD IN JAPAN PODCAST | Episode 2 | Listen Now!

Hey guys!

I hope you've all had a wonderful week thus far!

I'm going to give you a proper update on everything in this week's upcoming PATREON VLOG.

While you wait, we've got the latest episode of the Abroad in Japan Podcast to keep you company on your morning commutes, afternoon jogs and cold winters nights.

(Unless you live in the southern hemisphere where you can listen to it on a beach you lucky rascal).

In this week’s Podcast we discuss the making of Natsuki: The Movie and when you can expect to watch it. It's a topic too lengthy and action packed to type out and best discussed in your ears.

We also discuss: DIETING IN JAPAN, CLIMBING MOUNT FUJI and JAPAN'S HARDCORE POP IDOL CULTURE.

► SUBSCRIBE and listen on iOS and Mac (iTunes): https://goo.gl/TsHmh1

► STREAM and download on Android / PC: https://goo.gl/bJbszQ

(It’s also available on most popular Podcast apps such as Podcast Addict).

I'm keen to hear your feedback on the Podcast though guys!

In these early times, there's a nice steep learning curve, but so far I'm happy with how it's going and I won't rest until we have the finest Podcast about Japan in the world.

- Ever.

Let me know your thoughts and keep an eye out for the Patreon Vlog in the coming day or two!

Vive le podcast!

Chris

tiny request, but could you number the episodes? Not a problem now when there are 2 obvoiously. but when thre are loads of them later on it makes it easier to sort and find the right one you want to listen to.. Good stuff, enjoyed them..

Dan Boyle

There are many good ones tbh. Been to Eat Tokyo in Soho back in... 2016 I think and it was really a fantastic experience, I recommend it.

You're mate Pete is hilarious Chris. Props from New Zealand!

On the topic of London japanese restaurants, Brixton has quite a few well rated mid-range ones - Okan Okonomiyaki will be next on my list next time I'm down south!

Funny thing is I've watched you for years and never had that issue.

Yeah I feel the same way to be honest - I was always a sceptic until now, but they definitely fill a gap!

Abroad in Japan

Haha don’t worry I barely understand myself sometimes. I look forward to passing this knowledge to Pete!

Hey Chris, I'm a pretty new patreon and I really like the stuff you produce! Also enjoing this new podcast project so far, just one thing: I'm listening on my PC with a 5.1 surround setup and your voices are only played in the center box. May I suggest that you double the mono signal on both the left and right channel in postprocesing? That would be great and it will sound much better on a surround setup, thanks!

I wasn't previously a podcast enthusiast and I didn't really get why you would want to make them (no pictures! what a waste!), but having listened to the first one, and now to this one, I get it! They're so much fun and you really take your time telling stories and putting in details that just wouldn't fit into a video. Brilliant!

Nynke de Haas

Nice! Looking forward to the next one. Suggestion: add links to the things you're talking about, in addition to that maybe a bullet point overview of the topics with time stamps. So when you're talking about the AKB48 vid, you'd know that's at xxx:xx and there's a link to watch the actual vid. Thanks again!

Leighton Luckey

Hey Chris, The pods are great, only comment I can make is that the DJ choice of words are so local English borderline on slang that us none native English speakers sometimes have to think or guess what he meant.

Natsuki saying "Wow" gets me everytime

Mr. Broad, Here's a link, if you hadn't tried putting it on already: https://artists.spotify.com/faq#how-do-i-get-a-podcast-on-spotify I use podcast addict, but I've had a lot of hassle with it, so I use Spotify virtually all the time. Maybe others experience the same. I'd love if you could pop it on Spotify and I'm sure your listenership would increase too. Cheers!

That's awesome, thanks man! Would really love to be able to listen to your podcasts while commuting :)

That's interesting - I didn't realise you could do that on Patreon with the RSS feeds. I'll definitely look into it!

Abroad in Japan

Hi Chris, Would it be possible to get the podcasts not through a proprietary app but as a file (mp3/flac/ogg)? mp3 practically works everywhere. Maybe only offer this as a patreon bonus? You can set this up on patreon using audio posts: https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004204206-How-do-I-set-up-a-Podcast-on-Patreon- https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004048046-How-do-I-make-a-post-

Thanks man! There's going to be more this year than ever before.

Abroad in Japan

Awesome thanks! Also Chris, congrats on the first episode Cant wait for all the content you have planned this year 😄👍

Not with global warming and crazy politics, it's not.

Hey Zac, if you want to download on Android you'll need to grab yourself a Podcast app; ACAST itself is a Podcast app (and free). There's also other decent ones such as Podcast Addict.

Abroad in Japan

You'll need to download a podcast app first if you haven't already. Then search in the app for "Abroad in Japan" and subscibe, or alternatively enter the rss feed address which is https://rss.acast.com/abroadinjapan - after that, depending on the setup of your particular app, it should either download new episodes automatically or let you tap to download or stream.

Trying to figure out how to download the podcast on my android phone, any pointers? Looked all over the webpage and i can't see a download link
