Ask Abroad Live | September | Now Available to View

Thanks to everyone for joining the Live Hangout this morning.

Highlights include, a tour of the new apartment, useful Japanese learning resources, an incredible superhero, a list of shots, and a weird opportunity involving a porn star.

So glad you started it off with the channel properly. Surprisingly all the sarcasm together with Japanese culture and scenery is working wonders to my mood :-) Love you, support you, keep it up xx

Hana Mik

As far as building the channel goes, answering some questions like what your target audience is, etc., might help with making suggestions (though when you refer to "brand," I begin to wonder if I should be hearing ominous music). I think that your videos are best when you are enjoying yourself or complaining about something, or both.

Not related to the video, but I wonder if this guy learned English from Chris's old textbook: http://imgur.com/In1ZVrX Apparently, makeup can be like a magic :)

I feel exactly the same! I joined Patreon solely to support Chris. There are other content creators I have considered supporting, but with Abroad in Japan the choice was easy.

Troy said it best. :) Fully agree with it all. Hard to give advice upon improving the channel when I already really enjoy what's there. More Vlogs I suppose. I do like when you find weird and funny stuff to show us. Ramble on about anything in Japan and I'd be fascinated really. Anyway it was great being able to catch the live chat! Looking forward to October!

I'm not sure how you could improve since your videos are great as they are. One of the reasons you are my first and only artist I support on Patreon is your unique, movie-like, videos. You've got informative, funny, creative videos all rolled into one, what could be better! I too live vicariously through your videos, I'm sorry I can't offer any real advice. The video quality was great btw. :)

What the fuck did I just hear?! A Brit saying coffee is stronger than tea?! And IKEA is in Japan? World is going to hell. Good video though sir...keep it up.

Jeremy Carlson

I agree with Troy.

I missed the live broadcast :(. I can't tell you what would make your channels better. I love your videos. Even if I could give you advice what the hell do I know. All i can tell you is what I would enjoy watching. Travel videos when you have someone with you. Solo travel videos seem so lonely. Have a guest for your Q/A live chat. A good temple visit video. Go to a bar with some friends and just talk about Japan. Videos about the quirky Japan. Rated "R" is fine just not the vulgar stuff. You are living the dream so I intent to live vicariously through you until I can visit Japan. Thanks

Troy Lindstrom

Can you provide links to the books you recommended in the first half?

Leo

And everyone's obsession with Japanese pizza apparently.
