First Look - CGR Laser Bathysphere

Greetings patrons! Enjoy the first look at Classic Game Room - Farewell and Thanks for the Laser Bathysphere issue #1. These are rough page storyboards.

For a long list of reasons I decided to take my original novel script and convert it into a comic book. One reason is that I like the concept and plot a lot, but so much of it is visual and deep-space related, or time-travel, or universe hopping... makes a good comic book as long as I can justify drawing it.

Good news everyone! I can justify drawing it.

For starters I'm a lot faster after plowing my way through Robot Kitten Factory 2, 3, Ethel 3, Omega Ronin 1 and Retromegatrex 2. Sounds like a lot... IT IS. But it's also fun and I'm pretty happy with my penciling style lately.

Also, I'm working with a small team on a big series of drawing instruction books for next year so this dovetails right into that.

Plot-wise, rather than starting with the destruction of Earth, I decided to start with a bit of Laser Bathysphere exploration instead and then work out the back story from there. The story of comic book Mark, Edit-Station 1 and Radiant Silverdog (and Thought Lasers) is in effect! Still planning a November release for the beginning issue #1.
