Greetings Patrons! I hope this message finds you and your families safe and healthy in these bizarre times. Attached to this post is a look at four more pages of my upcoming Dante's Inferno: The Coloring Book to soothe the nerves and lift the spirits.
I'm probably a week or two away from finishing it, which is a month behind schedule annoyingly. But as you can see, the pictures are very complicated and I chose to pour in as much detail for coloring as I could. Converting shading and background fog into coloring lines is harder than one might think!!
Every page from the Gustave DorΓ© illustrated version of Dante Alighieri's Inferno is included and converted into coloring book page format!! His original art is included too for reference.
While I certainly can't take credit for DorΓ©'s remarkable illustrations and composition, converting his engravings into line drawings was no easy feat and I'm really pleased with the 98% completed book. I hope that many of you, and many other readers/artists, will enjoy finding new and creative ways to add color to this outrageous work of art.
Otherwise I don't have too much else to report. When this is completed I have plans to get back to my space manga, some other oddball coloring books, and with any luck (depending on time), Magnum Skywolf 2 and a few other original art projects.
Keeping busy! I hope you have a great holiday season and stay safe. See you soon with more stuff,
Mark
