Ramble

Hi everyone. As usual, this time of year is a bit wild so I feel like my overall productivity has...decreased a lot. There are just a lot of distractions during the day and I find myself with a few silent hours after 10 PM when I can really focus.

It's gotten a bit worse. We've heard nothing from anyone who can fix it.

Summary

• FINISHED CHAPTER 5.5 OMG.
• Profiles. Lawd. The profiles.

Writing

I finally. Finished. This New. Chapter.

It finished at 30983 words (rough draft).

WHEW.

You know, one thing to keep in mind about some of these chapters is that in spite of the amount of content they have, you can probably play through them one time...pretty fast.

Chapter 5 has about 4 hours of content in it but most people will probably be able to play through it in an hour(or maybe an hour and a half) the first time through (and faster, each subsequent time for the rest of the LIs).

Anyway. 5.5 is finally done and now I can get back to editing Asher's route. I did not think it would 30,000 words of chapter content. But here we are.

And I know this is one that will get fleshed out a lot during editing.

For now I'm moving ahead into editing chapter 6 - a chapter where some of the things set up in chapter 5.5 will come to fruition. >=D

Art

Received another BG art. We're nearly done with the ship environments. Almost!

The ship is shaping up to look quite cosy and warm. Which is good because a large portion of the game happens on the ship and I really want the backgrounds to look inviting.

I also did some work relating to Wil's sprite. 

None of the colour slider stuff is really coded properly yet because I need help with how to set up Wil's sprite to use the colourised versions of the images and a friend is going to be helping with that when they have time.

But there is one hair style that I've been struggling with because it does not really look as good with the colouring as the rest of the sprite. This type of hair colour is difficult to recolour by hand as well actually because it's drawn quite differently than the rest of the hairstyles.

So I'm not surprised it gave me difficulty with the colour slider.

I finally got it, last night, to a state I'm happier with. so that's good.

GS Stuff

Basically working my way through all the remaining profiles. A lot of these characters do not have existing write-ups so I can't just past those into the book. I obviously know their information but I do have to draft everything as I go

I am also trying to get the last of the short stories and drabbles wrapped up so I can add them to the lore book. So this chonky fellow is moving along - just a bit slowly.

Side note: But I'm still stuck on what to do for the "cover" of the lore book. Ha ha.  I need to figure the cover image out at some point.
