Happy New Year!

I was meant to post this yesterday but decided to just wait and break in the new year with an update.

This Week's Summary:

• Second revision up to Chapter 9
• Small revisions to Reuben's sprite

The Ramble:

So a quick ramble here - I have started my second revision of Reuben's route and am up to Chapter 9. Now, technically I have gone through Ch 9 once, but this was a chapter that was about half re-written and I'm going to do another pass. It's a chapter where they lay out the case so far and I'm not sure that all of it flows logically.

I need to just re-read the second half of it to check.

But yeah, I'm more than half done with this revision. I did expect the early chapters to go by fast and I also do expect the remaining chapters to require a little more work.

I broke into Reuben's sprite to make some edits and do some sketching of new outfits.

Most of the changes I've made are not going to be noticeable to anyone but me. I just smoothed out his highlighting a little and slightly altered his messy hair.

I did sketch out his casual outfits - mostly just things like a non-button shirt and pants that look like he could reasonably sleep in them.

And yeah, that's really it.

Sneak Peeks:

I would show you his edited sprite but the thing is that...I don't think anyone will notice the differences. Just me. 🤣

Upcoming Week:

Definitely want to finish this round of revision this week. Every chapter will then get fed into a grammar software to find any typos or missing commas. This is more of a proofreading aid that helps me just do a final clean up.

I will then probably make the flowchart templates...and...that's probably it. I mean, once that's done, I will script Reuben's route and code in the BGs.

But that will, realistically, probably be the week after. But that's my next step. So editing purgatory looks like it will be ending soon. That is it for updates. I will be doing a year-recap style post...soon. So keep an eye out!
