Hi everyone! Time for this week's update.

This Week's Summary:

• Worked on Reuben's route
• Quill is still in beta testing

The Ramble:

Another short update this week. Quill's route is still in testing and while I've glanced through the files to assess how much work there is, I haven't started making corrections yet as I'd prefer to do them all at once and a couple of testers have had real life issues slowing them down.

I will start corrections on Monday.

In the meantime, as I mentioned last week, I have been working on Reuben's draft, which is now around 60,000 words long and is up to the start of Chapter 7.

Though I've dropped some hints about the overall plot in Quill's route Chapter Six was really the first major plot related event and things will be picking up from here.

Magnus appears in Chapter 5, which was fun to write because we see another side of him and get some additional hints about how he viewed Morgan's situation at the start of the game. As always, his ability to adapt a situation to his own needs is prevalent as well. LoL

Some of Reuben's plot ties in with elements of Quill's plot so it's fun to bring those connections in.

Sneak Peeks:

Have some snippets of Ari and Magnus snarking at each other. 🤣🤣

Magnus: "But Ari and Caleb did 'bungle' it a little more than we intended. The car explosion was {i}not{/i} in their orders. Little Ari came up with that on his own."

Ari: "We were being tracked and pursued faster than we anticipated. It was necessary to improvise."

Magnus: "Yes, yes. I managed to somehow get through your exceptionally dry mission report. I'm aware of what happened."

Magnus: "Unfortunately I have learned the difficult way that a straightforward approach will not work with our council."

Magnus: "I do, however, have multiple contingency plans at all times. That is a part of the job description you might say."

Ari: "I don't believe that is an official part of your job description. I {i}have{/i} personally read it."

"For…a split second, I had the distinct feeling from the look of sheer annoyance of Magnus' face…that Ari might actually be trying to intentionally provoke him."

Upcoming Week:

I will make the first round of corrections but probably do additional testing just to be sure we caught everything.

I'll put writing Reuben's route on hold for that and may not get around to working on it again until Quill releases.

But we will see!
