I'm ded.

This Week's Summary:

• Wrote Reuben's scene by scene outline
• Wrote Yuu's extended story synopsis
• Worked on TUB a veeeery little bit last night after my laptop was up and running.

The Ramble:

OKAY. So laptop issue is solved in that. I have new laptop as of writing this. (Friday). For those not on my server - basically, my state went on lockdown between setting up the appointment for the repair and the actual repair date. I got a call cancelling the pick up because no travel is allowed for non-essential things. And the repair place felt that their service was not considered essential.

The lockdown is for two weeks AT LEAST. It could be extended if the cases continue to grow. And I could not be without a computer for two+ weeks.

This laptop issue has already put me behind schedule several times over. I'm sick of dealing with it. So the same day the repair tech (who I do sympathise with - he sounded as frustrated as me) cancelled on me, I ordered a new laptop.

I had been avoiding this as the thought of moving everything over to a new machine is daunting. Plus, the other one isn't even two years old.

But here we are. It wasn't supposed to be delivered until next week but it arrived early.

I'm still transferring files and things to it and still trying to adjust the monitor. As you all know when you get a new device, the monitor colours are always super weird - gamma is too high or too low, contrast too high, colours too saturated and blue....

I'm trying to make it look similar to the other one. There's a lot of looking at my art and making adjustments to the calibration based on how my art looks.

There are some benefits to just getting a new laptop (my N key is no longer mutilated...yet. LoL). But I'm still frustrated. ;A;

Anyway...WORK. Since I was once again on my old, beat up windows surface from a billion years ago, I was back to planning and writing.

I ended up writing out Reuben's full outline. Reuben's route, being more of a detective/suspense style story, has required a lot more careful planning with timelines and the like. I've had multiple flowcharts going so I could work out exactly when certain elements of the plot would get worked out.

But I do have his full outline written now. It's around 10,000 words long (which is about normal for my outlines)

I also started working on Yuu's extended synopsis and it's basically done. I just need to clean up the last few paragraphs a little. The next step for his story planning will be to create a full outline like I've done for Reuben.

Yuu's route didn't require the intense timeline planning that Reuben's did, fortunately. I still need to wrap up the synopsis then start his scene by scene outline. 

Then I need to do the same for Quill. 

Art and coding wise...

Well, I was without a functioning computer for most of the week. Until last night I really wasn't able to touch art or code. But I did end up working on The Ultimate Bob sprite for about an hour and a half last night

I have one more outfit to shade, then I can start piecing together the bobs. Then done with sprites.

I want to try to do that this weekend.

Sneak Peeks and Previews:

I haven't had time to grab screenies of the art I've done. I may just post another post with all the sprites together. That was kind of my plan anyway. Between all the setting up stuff I just didn't have time to sit down and do it yet.

Upcoming Week:

This upcoming week I should be able to start getting back into art and coding. Finally. I hope I can finish up with the sprite art and start coding in the sprite components so I can get back to expression coding.

I'm assuming the computer shenanigans are over and done with now. So I really want to try to make up for lost time if I can.

We're back on track now so I'm looking forward to finally....FINALLY getting some route betas done soon.
