Hello everyone, and Happy New Year.

Welcome to the first devlog of 2021!

This Week's Summary:

¾ of the way through Magnus, Chapter 8
Maggie's route is now 73,000 words
Random artwork of Morgan in progress

The Ramble:

So there's not too much to report this week! We're waiting on two more BGs from one of our artists. These will be the final two BGs. I've done no art to speak of myself as I'm focusing on writing.

So far I've been hitting my daily goals and am (currently) on track to finish Magnus' route by the end of the month. Of course, that relies on me continuing at this pace of about 1700 words per day.

I am currently most of the way through Chapter 8 of Maggie's route. This is a mostly info/backstory, and character related chapter where we learn Magnus' backstory.

It is also setting up for some developments in the next couple of chapters.

I'm hoping to get through this chapter tonight and start on Chapter 9 before the end of the weekend.

Then on to Chapter 10.

It's kind of a short ramble. We've reached that space where most of our outside artwork is complete and the internal artwork is waiting on the writing……

So i'm just writing. So updates are going to be boring a lot for the next few months. LoL

Writing snippet (from earlier in Magnus' route):

Sasaki: "It is customary to knock before entering an occupied room."

Sasaki: "Particularly when a private medical exam is taking place inside, Magnus Ulrich."

Magnus: "But it seemed like you were having an interesting conversation. I wanted to listen in."

Sasaki: "I think if the medical staff witness me drag you out of my infirmary by that ridiculous braid, that is also likely to spur some interesting conversations."

Sasaki: "Shall we give it a test?"

Magnus: "How dare you call my braid ridiculous. Envy is truly an ugly emotion, Yuu."

Magnus: "I would have thought you got over your jealousy of me years ago, but it certainly seems to persist despite my best efforts to make you feel more confident?"

Sasaki: "Ah. Is that why you insist on spending your days acting like an imbecile?"

Magnus: "This is what happens when you lose your ability to believe in people. You just assume the worst."

"He gently wrapped his arms around the doctor's much smaller frame and rested his head on the top of Dr Sasaki's head."

Magnus: "To think our poor little Yuu has become such a cynic."

"The doctor, to my surprise, didn't even bother to shove Magnus away. The look on his face was not at all encouraging though."

"I was trying my best to hold back a laugh, only half afraid Dr Sasaki was actually going to throttle him."

Magnus: "And you didn't answer my question, Morgan."

"Dr Sasaki finally slipped out of his grasp, shooting him a glare."

Sasaki: "Nor is she obligated to."

Morgan: "It's violet. Now please stop arguing. As interesting as it might be to watch you actually get dragged out by your braid, I really don't want to be a witness to a possible assault."
