But when you're actually in the ocean.... it's just water. Joe thinks he's not living his dream but what he claims to be in love with is playing music. As a music teacher, he does play music - every, single day. Yet he's unfulfilled because "middle school music teacher" doesn't sound grand. But it is literally his dream - he is a professioinal, full-time musician. He just doesn't appreciate it.
