This is one of my favorite movies. It was in heavy rotation in my household. Fun fact: Robert Townsend auditoned for the role of Harpo. Danny Glover will always be hated for his portrayal of Mister. Please watch Beloved. Danny Glover & Oprah Winfrey is in it as well. Sad fact: This movie was nominated for 11 oscars & didnβt win not one.

She's very curious about the woman her abusive husband loves so much plus she's so lonely and isolated without Sophia around.

The Color Purple is one of the amazing movies that hits you hard and you donβt have to think about what itβs about. If it makes you feel that raw emotion that renders you speechless, then the movie did its job.
