The two relics are shown together with Jinn's smoke, and the shot with Oscar being surrounded by Grimm makes me think he actually meets Salem by the end and gives away how to use the relic in some way. There's a lot of ways that could go down that timeline alone, but two in particular stand out. Oscar uses the relic to show Salem how to activate it, but wastes the last question to spite her, or Salem does the same thing as Ozpin and asks a question with incorrect wording that ends up screwing her over later. Cinder's arm hurting her at the end of the intro has to represent her wanting the power for herself, and buckling against Salem's control. (Along those lines, I think Neo is displeased with her position at the moment) Later in the OP, there's a scene with the team falling into the floor, and then into THE POOLS OF LIFE the elder god had made. Probably just symbolism, but WHAT?! (The extreme parallels to V6 Salem falling into them, as well as Cinder falling from the Haven Vault into the water are also apparent). Top notch stuff right there.
