Here's a recap of what we did last month!
Summer is winding down, and August was proof of that. It was a busy month!
August's first YouTube video on Legally Blonde was selected by our wonderful Patrons. We continued our Ghiblification with Ponyo and felt the warm fuzzies with About Time. Back in May, we visited Pixar and were lucky to steal some of Pete Docter's valuable time to look back on 30 years of Toy Story. We ended the month in tears over Bill & Frank from The Last of Us. Which episode was your favorite?
In addition to all the extended, ad-free director's cuts of the above episodes, Patrons got a director's cut from the archive: Knives Out! These are older episodes that never got extended director's cuts back in the day. And Jono talked about a topic we can all relate to: standing up for yourself without being a d*ck. Y'all know we can't post stuff like that on YouTube!
Aaaaand every few months, Patrons get an exclusive episode. This time, they got desperation psychology in The Last of Us. We cover some heavy topics that wouldn't go down well on YouTube. Plus, we can react to longer clips without worrying about copyright issues. Win win!
We had a CT shoot in the first week of August, featuring some new and old movie favorites. And some returning guests! At the end of the shoot, Alan took down the equipment and shared a CT Studios update.
Shortly after the shoot, we took a field trip to Davenport, Iowa. Why Davenport, Iowa? Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, guests on our Heretic episode, invited us to their theater, The Last Picture House. We shot a few episodes with them (one for YouTube, one for Patreon), and we did a fan meetup and movie screening. It was super fun!

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming next!
We're already prepping for the September shoot + FanX. It'll be a tiring and fun week as always. We're also prepping for a collaboration with a channel that's way bigger than ours, and we're so excited to share those videos with you, hopefully in November. Stay tuned!
As for FanX, our panel information is on the website, though we haven't been cleared to officially share the details. So... have a look at the website! We're doing a 5-year anniversary panel, rather than a live episode. Be prepared for some CT nostalgia!
How was your month? What are you looking forward to next month?
