Heran Adventures: 002 - Under Tera Wall

The winner of our first poll was Tera Wall, making Midstan where we will start our Heran Adventures!

With the first result being Tera Wall, we bring you 3 maps of various sizes.
-Yoker Hollow (32x18)
-Viviane Cave (36x36)
-Skinwalker Hollow (18x54)
(All maps are 140x140 pixels per square)
Chibbin Knights can find the PNG versions of these maps here.

Let's explore these locations which one can find below the surface city of Tera Wall, before we pick our next focus for Heran Adventures: 003.

Yoker Hollow

There are many avenues and streets below Tera Wall, most commonly referred to as 'Hollows'.
One of these avenues residing below Tera Wall is Yoker Hollow.
Many residents make their dwellings in the twilight of the glowshrooms that can be found within.
This Hollow is often portrayed as a tranquil respite, but it is also prone to periods of invasion as subterranean creatures known as Hobs like to use Yoker Hollow as a path on one of their routes known as 'Wee Hobways'.

Viviane Cave

Magma is a much sought-after resource, found within the caves of Tera Wall, as it is the go-to fuel source for all forms of lighting, cooking and heating in all modern Terawalian dwellings.
Viviane cave is one of the most widely known pools of this resource nearest to Tera Wall, though it is common knowledge that the Hobs also like to procure this material.
Magma-gathering subterranean natives are used to taking a Spud Rifle with them as they gather, to scare the cloth-fearing creatures away.

Skinwalker Hollow

Those that fear the darkness, or are experiencing nocturnal sickness from lack of sunlight, often head to Skinwalker Hollow as the unusual rays of light are said to have the quality of daylight. These rays are said to help in the recovery of both the body and the mind, especially for those suffering from nocturnal ailments.
It is commonplace to see wealthy merchants buy summer homes in places like Skinwalker Hollow. It is a local Undertera saying that "any advantage gained below, can surely only help one grow".

As for Heran Adventures: 003, where shall we narrow our focus next in the region of Midstan?
Choose which one of the six locations below interests you the most to decide on what will come along next month in Heran Adventures: 003!

Emerge from the caves below and lay your eyes on the marble-cladded metropolis of Tera Wall's surface.
From the ornate white fountains, to the steam rising from chimneys and workshops, there is no spot that isn't a claimable space for advertisement in Tera Wall.
These advertisements come in the form of signs and strange ghastly apparitions, creating an atmosphere that gives one the sense that somebody closeby is definitely getting ripped off.
If you're ready to look for a bargain, Tera Wall is the place for you, but if lies, red herrings and public hearings aren't for you then keep exploring the dank caves below.

If the cut-throat merchants of Tera Wall give you a fright, then the roaring, swaying shacks of Bridgetown are to be avoided for sure.
Bridgetown is an entire city built from one coast to another, connecting Eastan to Westan, though it is a common misconception that Bridgetown is one big bridge. It is in fact a conglomerate of many smaller bridge settlements, forming the full crossing that has become known as Bridgetown.
They are known for their ingenious communication system in the form of supersonic tubes that allows for near-instantaneous transfer of information throughout the city, without any reliance on any arcanic influences.
Being the middleman that seperates Eastan from Westan, the Barons of Bridgetown know fine and well that they are in control of one of the most important trade routes in all of Heran and use this to their advantage when pitting the other major powers against each other.
One should be sure to count what's in their pockets before entering one gate of Bridgetown and again when they leave the other. A common practice many people joke about but also dutifully practice.

The mysterious Dead Folk Pass, lined with strangely-marked skulls, connects Turnhip to the eastern coast of Westan.
It winds through the northern Howling Forest, better known as the Redwood.
You will never find any trade caravan taking this route. They would rather take the long way around, following the Mason Road, North or South, around the Howling Forest.
Nevertheless, those that do take up the task of traversing this ghastly trail will return with tales of strange glowing eyes, the cackling of old women and the drone of many insects following their footsteps. That is if they are lucky enough to even make it to the other side, as it is common for folks to go missing in this pass and never be seen again.

If one truly wants to go missing, they will step off the Mason Road and foolishly set foot into the wet, boggy, foul-trodden grounds of the Forgotten Marshes on the banks of the eastern Westan shores.
With the entire Howling Forest as a backdrop, the Forgotten Marshes are often avoided by travelers.
Even the river is traversed with great fear, as the mist can change at any time and even the most experienced boat captains will be prone to blunder as the line between obstacle and clear water is obscured.

The proud nation of 13 keeps; Direpeak is a legendary location known throughout the land of Heran for their brave warriors, stout traditions and most of all for their hospitality and music.
The folks of Direpeak have no intention of extending their territory. It is said that their borders have not changed since the beginning of both myth and legend.
Since the unification of the 13 families, they have claimed their line in the sand of Heran and instead of expanding outwards, they expand within; extending to the heavens and into the depths below.
The Direpeak one sees from the surface is but the mere tip of a vast network of brick, mortar, caves and ingenuity.
One cannot mention Direpeak without their cosmic rivals, Garin City, whom to this day are a continual focal point in Direpeakian society.
