Demons Within Update 11 devlog 3: Delays, but going strong

It's been a while, so I thought I'd write up another devlog to make sure I keep everyone informed! I have a few things to say and show today, so I hope it'll be enjoyable.
I'll start with the least pleasant stuf: an apology. I always strive hard to keep the Demons Within update timeline between one and two months for each update. It's been somewhat successful so far, with it varying very litle outside of that time window, but this time I know I'm pretty late with stuff.
A lot of things have happened in the last two months that made it a bit hard to focus on work. Personal stuff, so I'm sorry that that ends up affecting my capabilities to create, but I think that sometimes that's inevitable. The holidays at the end of the year were distracting enough, but mainly I'm going through some big life changes. A relationship and moving out into a new apartment I had been working on finalizing for a while are the two main things aside from a thousand small problems. It's big stuff and it's been quite draining, but the good news that come from all of it is that I hope it'll bring me even more stability so I can have peace and space to work on my stuff interrupted for the months and years to come. It'll all be worth the hassle, I hope! At any rate, however, apologies for being late with the update and for this one taking longer than it should. I'm confident that, in the future, we'll be keeping these delays to a minimum. :)
On the other hand though, despite everything that happened, Update 11 is still very much in the works, even if slowly. As I write this, I just finished writing another 1800 words of the script. We're getting close-ish to done. I mentioned in my previous devlog that this will be a big one, both in events and in size, so that takes a bit longer as well. I really hope it'll be worth the wait, though!
I come today with a special small preview of what we'll see in this update. A little gimmick I came up with to introduce an important character in a nice way. We're already working on designing some future characters and we're sharing these designs with Patreon, but in-game the feeling will be different.
I teased in Discord a few weeks ago that people that like Boris will likely be happy this update. In The Weary Soldier tavern, a big boar is not the only thing Resnick will see. Other things are being designed, and here's a in-the-works preview for everyone this time, not just the previews tier:

This poster that we'll see in-game is in its sketch form, mind you, as we designed it, but isn't it cool? I guess that in the sketch form you can't really make out too well who it is that is on display in the poster, but in-game you'll be able to see it clearly! ;)
(Also, no, he doesn't have horns, that's just part of the draft from an accessory!)
I spoke a bunch about the tavern bit of Update 11, but truth be told, Resnick's time in the tavern is really more of an intermission between what I consider the two big events of Update 11. Two big events of very different natures! It'll be great, I hope!
Okay, I think that's plenty for my rambling walls of text. I mainly wanted to explain and apologize, as well as to ask for patience and, hopefully, share some excitement too! The present is a bit rocky, but the future is bright! :D

...Honestly, since it was a tournament poster, I immediately thought they were laurels, not horns, on their head, but I can kinda see why, as a sketch, others might not... π
