Demons Within Update 11 devlog 2: Ongoing...

Hey hey!

It's been a while! In fact, we haven't had a devlog since last year! It's about time I share a bit more about Update 11 given that I've been working on it for a few weeks already!

Update 11 is currently in its writing stage. As per the initial plans, Update 11 has a bit of branching at its beginning, which will require a few different versions of the events. Well, mainly, two big events that happen at the beginning depending on... well, if you finished Update 10, you can probably imagine. ;) That's a big chunk of the update and I hope it'll be very enjoyable, if you know what I mean!

Then, after that, Update 11 has a bit more story stuff and, after that, well, a lot of story stuff. We have some pretty significant events happening in Update 11 that I will not spoil, but that's the second major part of it! As a result of all this content, I think that Update 11 will end up being a bit larger than regular updates, which in turn escalates into me taking longer to make the visuals for it, etc. But, it'll be worth the wait, hopefully!

I know I haven't said much about the update itself. As I mentioned, I'm not going to spoil the major things you'll see in it, but I can give a few small tidbits...

First, for those that like Boris, we'll be seeing some of him again. He'll even get some new stuff sprite-wise, which we're working on, so stay tuned for that in the previews tier! ;)

Second, we'll get our first glimpse at a new character's visuals as well. He's been mentioned before and, though we won't come in direct contact with him, it's quite a big shot as well! We're working on ironing out his details as well, but preview coming soon too!

And third, though Update 11 will feature big events that will matter a lot in what Resnick is going through, Update 12 and beyond will start getting to the next major events of the story. I'm very eager to get to those, as I've been planning them for a long time! Everything we're seeing and building up will contribute to it and I think it'll be pretty awesome. I hope so!

Alright, that's enough story stuff for now! As a summary, Update 11 development is ongoing, both in writing and still with a little bit of artwork left to be done, but we're doing alright! I'm aiming to see if I can be getting close to done with it by the end of the month, but I'm also moving to a new place in real life this month and that brings (and has already been bringing) a lot of extra time-consumers. Apologies for that! I'm doing my best and I'm eager to finish this one up, as I have a lot of other small things I'd like to get started on this year with Demons Within! It's gonna be awesome!
